Dustin Sites, a school teacher from Avon, Ind., has always been an
avid Mustang fan. He has been an active member of the Mustang Club of Indianapolis for several years and serves on its board of directors. In the summer of 2016, Dustin spotted a 2008 Ford Shelby GT on the internet with just 480 miles on the odometer.

This was a special
edition GT-C and was car No. 18 of only 215 produced. It wasn’t long  before he was driving to Missouri to check out this beauty. The car features a three-valve, 4.6-liter V-8 that produces 319 horsepower with 333 foot pounds of torque. The Ford Racing Power Pack includes a Hurst short throw shifter for manual transmission models, increasing a more precise shifting experience.

The Shelby GT’s driving dynamics were further enhanced with lowered coil over springs, stiffer dampers and a front end sway bar to improve cornering and overall body control. The setup was then capped off with high-performance 18-inch tires to maximize the benefits of all the chassis upgrades.

Dustin, his wife, Erica, and two young daughters can often be found attending Mustang shows and cruise-ins all around Indiana and with sister Mustang clubs in Ohio and Kentucky.Until next time, happy cruisin’!
