Saturday afternoon was a beautiful day for Calvary Christian School’s car show, spring festival and barbecue competition, which served as a qualifier for the state championship sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society.
The show, organized by Mike King, was free to enter and open to anything on wheels. The event featured a great display of restored classic cars, custom moderns and classic street rods.
Trophies and T-shirts were given to the top 10 winners in several categories.
A kids zone featured games, an air slide and a bounce house, and vendors were selling arts and crafts, specialty items, fair-style food and beverages.
